Emotionally Focused Therapy

Emotionally Focused Therapy focuses on enhancing the emotional attachment, improving communication to create secure bonds, and transforming negative interactive patterns.

Through Emotionally Focused Therapy, clients are introduced to a structured, evidence-based approach that encourages the view of emotional distress as a result of insecure attachment or disconnection. Clients will have the opportunity to identify negative cycles, engage in emotional deepening, restructuring their interactions, and correct emotional experiences.

Although Emotionally Focused Therapy focuses primarily on couples, it can also be used for individuals and families to help treat anxiety, depression, and trauma.
