Mindfulness Therapy

Through a non-judgmental, safe, welcoming environment, mindfulness counseling helps clients break negative thought patterns by observing your feelings and thoughts without reacting to them.

Mindfulness therapy is a form of psychotherapy that combines mindfulness techniques like meditation, breathing exercises and body scans with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help with anxiety, depression and chronic pain.

Mindfulness therapy allows clients to learn and practice being present in the moment. The goal is to move from “doing” mode and being constantly in problem-solving mode to “being” mode and accepting the present experience.

Mindfulness allows clients to gain awareness of one’s internal states and surroundings which help people avoid destructive or automatic habits as well as responses. Mindfulness encourages clients to learn and observe their emotions, thoughts, and other present-moment experiences without having to react or judging them.
