Child Play Therapy

For children, their natural language is play. Play Therapy is a structured, psychologically based approach that allows children to express their emotions, process their traumas, and develop healthy coping skills in a safe, welcoming, authentic, playful environment.

Children often struggle with articulating emotions like adults. By using their natural language, children will be able to explore these emotions, process their life experiences, build their self-esteem, encourage the development of problem-solving, build healthy relationships, and develop coping skills.

There are many forms of play therapy which includes, non-directive, directive, and cognitive behavioral play therapy. At Rising Phoenix, we have trained therapists observe and/or participate in play to help the children process their life experiences and emotions.

Child Play Therapy is used for children 3 years old to 12 years old. Allow one of our amazing, well-trained therapists to work with your children through the power of play.
